Meet Aleks, our Program Administrative Assistant, who holds the unofficial title of Best Crafter at Girls Inc. of the Valley. Whether it’s crocheting, woodworking, sewing, stamp making, or any number of other cool projects, you can always find Aleks learning new skills and making something amazing. With a knack for creating magic from yarn, it’s no surprise that if Aleks could switch jobs for a day, they’d dive into the world of fiber arts, spinning their own yarn and crafting something beautiful. Their love of yarn also hints at the animal they would transform into, a cat if given the chance, finding the idea of sleeping for 18 hours a day “Amazing!”.

Aleks treasures traveling anywhere that lets them take the long way around as it allows them to uncover hidden gems along the way. The most valuable lesson they’ve learned? The power of seeking assistance; there’s no trophy for navigating life solo.
